We are the largest CrossFit Affiliate in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with over 9,000 square feet of space built to provide the highest quality fitness experience. CrossFit Eden Prairie is an exercise facility founded on two equally important values:
1. Foster a community that enhances each members' exercise experience every time they step foot in the gym.
2. Offer fitness coaching with high-level standards that yield great results for all levels of skill and ability.

Meet the Owners
Curt, Anna, their daughter Hadley, and dog Luey love their CrossFit Eden Prairie & Prior Lake family. It has been amazing to see the support that this community has given them, both professionally and personally. As cliche as it may seem, their love of CrossFit has cemented Curt and Anna's relationship even further, but is also going to foster an amazing environment of support, fun, and happiness for their daughter to grow up in. This is a family that has a love for health and fitness, a desire to grow something special, and a goal of surrounding themselves with great people. CFEP/CFPL is where all of those things come together!

Curt Follman, Owner and Coach
The health and wellness industry is where I have spent my entire career. This has taken me to personal training, fitness management, group exercise instruction, health and wellness coaching, and wellness service sales. When I first started CrossFit, I immediately knew that I was hooked for life. To be honest, it frustrated me knowing how I had trained clients (and myself) for all of these years. It's a great feeling when you are actually excited to go workout, even when you know it's going to be very hard. That's directly related to the addictive nature of CrossFit and the personal relationships you have with your coaches and fellow members.
As a coach, my objective is to get the best out of each and every member. Each person who steps through our door is going to be at a different fitness level, strength level, flexibility level, confidence level, etc. This excites me as a coach because it allows me to constantly need to adapt. My years of coaching and training have instilled the understanding that no two people are alike, and it truly is a skill to be able to peel back the layers to get an individual ready and motivated to make changes. Those changes do not happen over night either, so having a relationship deeper than just a casual "Hi" and "Bye" is important to navigate each members' path to better fitness.
A high standard of coaching is very important in CrossFit. Due to the complex and intense nature of our workouts, it's key to have the proper technique and form to decrease the likelihood of injury. Our motto says it all, "Higher Standards, Greater Results." I will not allow you to put your safety or health at risk, because after all, what's more important than our health?! I know I don't want to take any time off from my workouts, so I know my members don't either!

Anna Follman, Owner and Coach
I grew up participating in both individual and team sports but my true passion was in gymnastics and track and field. I went on to compete for the Blugolds as a gymnast and sprinter/jumper at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. After retiring from collegiate athletics and receiving my degree in Kinesiology, my professional experience has ranged from personal training, coaching gymnastics, sports performance training, and corporate wellness. Although I believe my calling is in the health and fitness industry, I continued my search for something that truly brought me more excitement in my day-to-day life.
In January of 2011 I started CrossFit and I have been addicted ever since! Members of CrossFit appreciate it for different reasons; my most important reasons are the strong sense of community, technical-based coaching, constant exercise variety, and of course it's effectiveness in my overall strength, endurance, and physical appearance. I can honestly say that I have never left a CrossFit workout feeling like I didn't get the most out of the class.
Given how much I have fallen in love with CrossFit, it is extremely fulfilling for me to get to share this experience with every member of CrossFit Eden Prairie! As an owner and coach it is my priority to make sure each individual feels supported wherever they are at in their CrossFit journey. Having an extensive background in coaching all ages and skill abilities it allows me to be very effective at personalizing workouts, even within the group class setting.

M'Kelle Tomberlin, General Manager and Coach
I initially fell in love with CrossFit because it gave me the opportunity to train like an athlete again. After ending my career as a volleyball and track student athlete at Bemidji State University, I missed the competitive nature and challenge of pushing myself at that high level. CrossFit continually challenges me, takes me out of my comfort zone, and gives me an environment to do things I never thought I was physically capable of. The amazing thing is that throughout this time I have also made many strong friendships and have been allowed to experience numerous opportunities because of it. The community is absolutely incredible, and is unlike any other area of the fitness industry that I have experienced.
My career has taken me to many areas of the health and wellness industry, including coaching in both team sports and strength and conditioning, personal training, group fitness instruction, and health and wellness coaching in the corporate atmosphere. All of these experiences have given me various assets that also assist me as a CrossFit trainer. I'm excited to help guide CrossFit Eden Prairie's athletes to feel better, get stronger, and excel in areas they never thought possible!

Justin Hoefer, Coach
My career in the fitness industry has taken me many different places. Initially, I got into the industry because of my personal love for fitness. Growing up playing football and basketball, later getting into triathlon, athletics and fitness have been a top priority. I always wanted to share my passion and help others reach their goals. I have worked with all age groups, from middle school age all the way into the 70-80's. This has given me a great appreciation for the impact that fitness can have on quality of life. Through personal training, group exercise instruction and health and wellness coaching I feel like I have developed a well rounded base to help people of all ages and fitness levels.
My love for CrossFit came back in 2007 or so, when I stumbled across the website. I have always looked for something better. Traditional training models didn't always make sense to me. CrossFit and CrossFit Endurance just made more sense; less training time, more intensity and more of a focus on form and movement. My personal results were much better than the years of traditional training. When using concepts of CrossFit with my clients, I see better results in them as well. The community concept with in CrossFit gyms across the country is one of the best things about it. Feeling welcome, making friends and competing against yourself, make people want to keep coming and getting better every day!

What gets me the most excited about being a coach is showing people who are new to CrossFit that it can be for everyone. It's also extremely rewarding to help members accomplish their goals, whether that be their first HSPU, Muscle Up, or just getting a full depth squat for the first time. The motto "Work Hard Be Nice" that CFEP/CFPL encompasses is what I truly try to live by. I believe with hard work you can accomplish pretty much anything, and being nice...well, why be anything different?

CrossFit changed my perception of fitness and perception of myself. I'm passionate about helping people find similar results.
I remember coming in early for my introductory CrossFit class while the previous class was just finishing up. I was blown away by what I saw. Here was a group of people of all different ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels working out together, encouraging each other, and pushing themselves like I've never seen before! It was love at first sight.
I joined CrossFit in the fall of 2012. That CrossFit class challenged me in a way that I've never been challenged before. I couldn't wait for my next class to learn new movements so I could work on them and get better. The rest is history. I found my home at CrossFit Eden Prairie/Prior Lake. I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing group of people. While working hard on all the different aspects of CrossFIt and growing as a CrossFIt athlete myself, I find joy in working with others and helping them achieve their goals.

While deployed to Basra, Iraq in 2009, a Special Forces ARMY buddy started talking about this amazing workout routine called CrossFit. He bet me that I could not do this workout called “Fran” in less than 10 minutes. I looked up the workout 21-15-9 of pull-ups and “thrusters” I had no idea what a thruster was so got on the internet and searched for it. While deployed you don’t have much to do in your off time so I spent a majority of it at the gym, I said sure I take your bet. Then 6:14 seconds later I was Dry heaving over garbage can gasping for air. The workout was amazing and terrible at the same time. Both movements were scaled, mostly because I was ignorant of the range of motion CrossFit asks you to do. That night I talked my workout partner into giving CrossFit a 30 day trial. We did mainsite workouts for the next 30 days. I was hooked and never looked back.
CrossFit training has never ending potential for improvement, therefore it never gets old. When you start to burn out you just change directions. The gym is one of my happy places and CrossFit allows me to spend lots of time in my happy place.
I coach because helping people change bad habits or find out who they are athletically is fun. As a coach the look on someone’s face when they just did something they never thought was possible in a million years is indescribable. So powerful!

I was introduced to CrossFit while attending a RockTape seminar and our instructor was super excited to be working with CrossFitters. He expressed how the sport was getting people, of all shapes and sizes, off their couch and into the gym, moving, working out and most importantly living a healthier life. Working in sports medicine as a chiropractor, I had to learn more about it. After talking with some local boxes and then volunteering with the medical team at the Granite Games, I had to try it for myself.
I grew up a multi-sport athlete, participating in soccer, basketball and baseball in high school and continued playing soccer in college at St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. After starting on-ramp at CFEP, I quickly became hooked and I had something to challenge me physically and fulfill my competitive nature.
In October 2014 I was able to incorporate CrossFit with my career by coaching mobility at CFEP. Besides reaching my own personal goals, I find no better joy than helping people move and feel better. The intensity and constant variation of CrossFit demands the athlete pay attention to their body. It’s my goal to asses, treat and educate my athletes thereby empowering you to help yourself.
